If you need financial assistance in obtaining eye care, or if you know of someone who does, please refer to the following for possible financial help. Always feel free to call our office if you are unable to obtain needed assistance reaching any of the organizations listed below. There is a great program for children 18 and under through the Sight For Students Program. Or call my office for more information. Sight for Students: VSP® Covers students 18 years of age & younger. This is a wonderful program for those children who qualify for assistance under this program. If the parent or guardian meets the guideline requirements, most times the child or children receive a complete eye exam and high quality glasses at no cost to the parents. Following are three places where the parent or guardian can request approval for their child. There are some very basic financial guidelines for qualification. However, if the child receives Medicaid or other types of vision coverage, they will not qualify.

No one should go without needed vision care when there are so many possibilities for financial assistance.. Always remember, children should have a complete eye exam by a licensed eye care Doctor before the age of 3. School screenings and physical exams are not enough in determining the vision needs of a child. Vision affects their safety, learning, behavior, and comfort. A child cannot tell you they don't see well because they do not know what they should be seeing. Babies may have vision problems that slows their learning and safety. We examine infants!!
