Born and raised in Sullivan County, Indiana, Dr. Irons received his AB Degree from Wabash College where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the Wabash Little Giants basketball and track teams.

After graduation from Indiana University in l97l with his Doctorate of Optometry, he opened his solo optometric practice in Columbus.

Memberships include the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, Stonebelt Optometric Association, and is a member of the VSP® panel Doctors.

He is a past recipient of the prestigious Indiana Optometric Association's Outstanding Young Optometrist of the Year Award. He has served as President of the Stonebelt Optometric Society, Third Party Insurance Coordinator for the Indiana Optometric Association, Board of Directors of the former Indiana VSP®, and numerous other Committees throughout the Optometric community.

Dr. Irons continues his education to better serve his patients beyond what is required by State Statutes. He has been approved for pre and post operative care in LASIK and Cataract Co-management with various surgery centers.
