Supporting your care

Dr. Irons is a vision provider and accepts assignment for the following vision insurance plans:
We serve Medicare patients routinely.  We will file your Medicare claim and Medicare will reimburse you directly.

If you have other vision insurance, we can serve you as well.  We will help you file your claim and your insurance company will reimburse you directly based on their out-of-network coverage.

Vision Service Plan

Dr. Irons has been a VSP® Panel Doctor for insured members since its inception in Columbus, Indiana in 1978.

He accepts assignment for the VSP® share of the patient's cost. The patient pays only his share required by VSP®.

Our office provides frames, lenses, coatings, contacts, and eye examinations for insured members in a caring and professional manner.

  • We are experienced in helping patients with their insurance coverage.
  • We are able to help patients best utilize the coverage they have available to them, and offer materials and services according to VSP® requirements and programs.
  • We secure your authorization for you when you schedule an appointment.
  • We explain your coverages and eligibility.
  • We help you select products using your insurance allowances.
  • We explain your covered services, and file your insurance claim for you.
  • We pass on to the patient any and all benefits VSP® offers to their members.

EyeMed Insurance

EyeMedVisionCare® is the vision care provider for several health care companies as well as individual employers. EyeMed Vision includes several different plans and names including, but not limited to: (If you do not know about your vision insurance, call our office and we will assist you in determining your coverage)
  • Unicare®: UniVison

Medicare

We look forward to serving Medicare patients.

We enjoy providing care for patients who have Medicare.  Dr. Irons provides a very thorough eye health exam along with an acuity check for the patient's prescription.  Dr. Irons provides other medical services as part of his comprehensive exam.  Special care is given during the exam to evaluate for such conditions as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other vascular conditions that may present themselves in the eyes.

Dr. Irons will file the Medicare claim and the patient will be reimbursed by Medicare.
