Volunteers in MedicineVolunteers in Medicine provides vision care, as well as medical and dental care, for individuals of all ages who meet their guidelines. Call Volunteers in Medicine at 812-376-9750 or stop by their office to find out how you might qualify for vision and other health assistance. You may contact us for more information.Sight for Students VSP®Sight for Students covers students 18 years of age and younger. If the child's parent or guardian meets the guidelines, most times the child will receive a complete eye exam and high quality glasses at no cost to the parents. Contact your child's school nurse, contact Head Start at 376-9608, or contact or visit the Foundation for Youth at 372-7867 or 348-4555 for guidelines and a gift certificate for your child. You may also call Vision Service Plan (VSP®) at 1-800-852-7600 and press zero ("0") for help However, if the child receives Medicaid or other vision coverage, they will not qualify.
